Dr Olga Conn
Women’s Health Advocate and Blogger, and Medical Writer
I am passionate about empowering women with the knowledge and support they need to thrive. With a background in pharmacology and a PhD in Molecular Science, I combine my deep scientific understanding with a practical approach to women’s health. I also hold a diploma in nutrition and a certificate in mental health first aid, and I have had the privilege of teaching Life Sciences at the university level, including human anatomy and physiology. My goal is to provide evidence-based insights and support, helping women understand their health and feel empowered throughout their journey.

One day, I woke up and did not feel like myself. I did not recognise the person staring back at me in the mirror – older, tired, with bleak hair. It felt like it happened overnight, without warning. I was left to face this change alone. No one in my circle of friends ever talked about the natural changes of ageing or what to expect. And why would we?! We were too young to even consider the changes that come with ageing. I was spiralling down so quickly, struggling with exhaustion, brain fog, itchy skin, insomnia, irritability, and those intense mood swings. It felt overwhelming, and I had no idea how to cope.
It took time for me to realise that my body was going through a significant transition. Despite my numerous attempts of consulting with my GP, I was dismissed because I was in my early 40s, supposedly too young to be experiencing perimenopausal symptoms. I knew I had to do something, to take control and support my body through this transition in the healthiest way possible. I needed to minimise the symptoms and reconnect with healthier, happier version of myself. That’s where my journey began.
I’m writing this blog to help other women who might feel the same confusion or isolation, so you don’t have to go through it alone. Let’s start the conversation that no one is having – you are heard, you are supported, and together, we can embrace this journey toward vitality.

My Vision

My goal is to create a space where women can find reliable, evidence-based information about perimenopause and menopause. I believe that by empowering women with knowledge, I can help them embrace ageing in the healthiest, most holistic way possible. I want this blog to be a safe place for women to express themselves, share their experiences, and ask questions they may have without judgement. By fostering an open, supportive community, we can build a dialogue that promotes understanding and dismantles the stigma surrounding menopause. Through my blog, I hope to inspire women to approach ageing with confidence, embracing both the challenges and opportunities for growth that come with it.
