On a chilly day, I decided to try something new and made this blueberry walnut porridge recipe—and I’m so glad I did! I’ve never been the biggest fan of porridge, but on a chilly day, I sometimes crave something warm and comforting. I usually go for banana and peanut butter, but this time, I wanted to switch things up—and I’m so glad I did! This blueberry walnut porridge is absolutely delicious and might just become my new favourite. It’s packed with goodness: ground flaxseeds for a healthy gut, juicy blueberries full of antioxidants, crunchy walnuts for a dose of healthy fats, and a drizzle of honey for natural sweetness. A perfect cosy bowl to start the day!

Ingredients
- 30 g oats
- 150 ml milk
- 7 g ground flaxseeds
- 10 g walnuts (chopped)
- 75 g blueberries
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 30 g rolled oats and 150 ml milk (or unsweetened almond milk for plant-based alternative).
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once it starts to simmer, reduce the heat to low and cook for about 5, stirring occasionally, until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid and the porridge has thickened.
- Once the porridge is ready, remove it from the heat and stir in ground flaxseeds.
- Spoon the porridge into a bowl and top with chopped walnuts, blueberries, and a drizzle of honey.
- Stir together if desired, and enjoy your warm, nutritious porridge!
