These are packed with fibre, healthy fats, and essential minerals, making them a nutrient-dense snack that supports your overall well-being. Perfect for a healthy, homemade treat that goes so well with a cup of tea!

Ingredients

Makes 10

100 g sunflower seeds
100 g sesame seeds
50 g brown flax seeds
4 tbsp maple syrup (adjust as required to ensure all seeds are nicely coated in syrup)
A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, brown flax seeds, salt, and maple syrup. Stir well until the seeds are evenly coated.
  3. Spoon the seed mixture onto the parchment paper to form 10 small, round biscuits, pressing them down gently to flatten slightly.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the biscuits are fragrant.
  5. Allow the biscuits to cool completely on the baking sheet to set and crisp up.

These biscuits will keep well in an airtight container for a couple of days—if they last that long!

Note

Once the biscuits have cooled, you can dip one side in melted chocolate for an extra treat. Allow the chocolate to set completely before enjoying.
